During the weekend of February 20–22, Library of America and The Berry Center were pleased to present a limited-time virtual screening of Laura Dunn’s acclaimed documentary Look & See: A Portrait of Wendell Berry. More than five thousand viewers tuned in for this intimate look at the world and philosophy of one of our greatest writers, whose portraits of a place and its people remain some of the richest in American literature.
Following the screening, Dunn and Mary Berry, executive director of The Berry Center, joined LOA for an engrossing Q&A session on the film’s genesis, its vital message of agricultural and communal interdependence, and the filmmaker’s new series of short films drawn from outtakes and unused interviews from Look & See.
