Library of America 25th Anniversary

On May 17, 2007, to mark its 25th anniversary, The Library of America hosted a gala celebration at the Morgan Library and Museum. The Library of America at 25, a film by Catherine Tatge and Dominique Lasseur, opened the evening and features writers, scholars, and readers speaking about the unique character of American writing and the role of The Library of America as custodian of this literary heritage. Following the film, five of America's most distinguished writers spoke about a writer published by The Library of America for whom he or she had special admiration.
