GIFT SETS OF BOOKS
You can donate a set of Library of America volumes to the library of your
choice-your child's school, your alma mater, or favorite public library.
Sets given through this program are generously discounted to $25 per volume,
and the cost is fully tax-deductible, and bookplates printed with the
donor's name are provided. Costs are as follows:
| 25 volumes | $625 | ||
| 50 volumes | $1,250 | ||
| 100 volumes | $2,500 |
For the cost of a complete set, please inquire.
Sets of any size can be arranged, and you can select the volumes from the series that you wish to give. Gift set donors will be listed in the newsletter, along with the books' destination.
THE GUARDIANS OF AMERICAN LETTERS FUND
Donors who contribute to the Guardians of American Letters Fund help to keep
the entire series permanently in print by endowing volumes of their choice.
To endow a volume, a donor makes a one-time tax-deductible contribution of
$50,000 to the Fund. In recognition of this generosity, the donor's name
appears on a special acknowledgment page of every future printing of the
volume the donor chooses. Contributions may also be given in honor or
memory of a friend, family member, or colleague with a suitable citation.
For a list of the volumes available for adoption by Guardians, please
inquire.
PUBLICATION SUBSIDIES
Gifts of this kind defray the costs of publishing new volumes in the series
and are usually in the amount of $25,000 and up. Some volumes are either so
expensive to prepare, or have such a limited, though important, audience,
that they cannot be published without such support, which pays for textual
research and editorial and promotional expenses. For a list of volumes
needing subsidies, please inquire.
SECURITIES GIFTS
By making a gift of stock or securities, you can save on capital gains
taxes. In addition, the full fair market value of the security is
deductible (as a charitable contribution) up to 30% of your adjusted gross
income.
BEQUESTS

consider naming the organization in their wills.
